The wisest member of our modern aviary
A streamlined take on the wisest bird of all. Unglazed porcelain on a polished nickel base. We hand sculpt the prototype, an homage to the wise owl, in our Soho studio. The layer of relief is achieved by using masking tape to create the pattern and then painstakingly using a wet sponge to erode the clay and create precise peaks and valleys.
